What is EDG?

The first EDG program was founded by Gordon Edwards in South Australia in 2012. Leveraging Checkside’s core leadership development IP since 2019, EDG combines a half-day peer group learning experience each month with 1:1 coaching sessions for each participant. Incorporated into this format are workshops with subject matter experts each quarter and an annual goal-setting and review workshop.

About Your Coach – Gordon Edwards

Following a leadership career in the Royal Australian Navy (including deployment to the Gulf during the Iraq War of 1991) and executive roles in a multinational logistics business, Gordon has continued to drive an approach with emerging companies that focuses on high performance and encourages leadership at all levels.

As well as founding and developing the first EDG program, Gordon designed (and for the last 12 years has delivered) the South Australian Defence Industry Leadership Program (SADILP) sponsored by the SA State Government. Gordon is also a Chair for The Executive Connection (TEC), dedicated to improving the businesses and enhancing the lives of business owners, CEOs and key executives.
